Children are not sophisticated enough to articulate their thoughts and feelings. I use board games and art to draw out children’s inner concerns.

I interpret the symbolic meaning of their behaviors and projects.
More importantly, the context that came with producing them :
    how a child strategizes or not,
    how victory or defeat is received,
    the child’s voice tone and affect as he was giving the response ,
    what’s depicted (or not) in the drawing ,
    and how confidently she reached out for the crayons and started working.

I take these behaviors and weave them into the overall narrative that the child may be attempting to tell.
