Neurofeedback, also called neurotherapy or EEG biofeedback is a mind-body therapy that trains the brain to self-regulate by presenting the patient with realtime feedback on brainwave activity (as measured by sensors on the scalp) in the form of a video game. When the brainwave activity changes in the desired direction, a positive signal is fed back to the patient. In most cases the brain is trained to be more stable and in some cases the brain is trained to be more flexible. This trains the brain to calm its trouble areas and "nudges" it to optimization.

I use neurofeedback as an adjunct to my work as a psychotherapist for children and adults who are suffering from ADD, anxiety, depression. trauma, PTSD, addictions and behavioral problems, and who are open to exploring it. This accelerates progress and allows us to deal with the issues that will promote growth and healing within a shorter period of time.
